I am so blessed to be working at such a spiritual and remarkable school! We have a rich history of FAITH, DIVERSITY, and SERVICE! Not only do we cultivate and expect strong academic performance, but we help students to grow in their faith while learning to be a servant of God. I truly believe that the best way to learn about a school is to ask the students.
When I ask our students to tell me about their favorite aspect of Holy Family School, they give the following responses:
- Teachers here care about you and help you succeed.
- There is no bullying allowed.
- We learn alot here.
- We are diverse.
- We are all friends.
- We do nice service projects to help our community.
- We do really cool science activities every week.
- We have service every Thursday and we get to lead the Mass!
- We pray everyday.
- We have great sports.
- We go on amazing field trips!
- The principal knows your name and is nice to you.
- We feed the poor.
- Our teachers are nice and look out for you.
- We love each other.
- We are a family.
I could not have said it better myself! At HFS we believe that every child is a gift and worthy of respect. We provide a positive and safe learning environment enabling children to grow spiritually, academically, socially, physically, and emotionally. We utilize multisensory, hands-on learning approaches while emphasizing the development of strong writing skills.
At all grade levels, students participate in quarterly service projects that benefit our local community and our global world. At HFS, it is no accident that "Family" is a cornerstone of our name. Our students actively embrace the concept that the school is a family in which each person has a role and a set of clearly defined responsibilities that make us a vibrant and caring entity.
We offer advanced classes in all middle school grades, with a strong emphasis on Science, Math, and Writing. While academic excellences is developed and expected, we also help students to develop spiritually through our religion classes, morning prayer, and weekly Mass that is planned and led by different grade levels each week. Our Art and Music Encore classes are taught weekly, and our Guidance, Spanish, Computer, and Leadership classes are taught biweekly. Extracurricular activities such as clubs and sports help us to meet the needs and interests of all students.
We would like to show you first-hand the unique and loving environment that Holy Family provides. If you would like to know more about Holy Family School, please call us at 256.539.5221.
