Fourth Grade

Ms. Leslie Milton

B.A. in Psychology from the University of Alabama, Huntsville
B.S. in Elementary Education from Athens State University

I taught 3rd through 7th Grade in Florida for ten years in both public and Catholic school. After moving back to Huntsville, I substituted for grades PreK-4 through 8th Grade, was a 1st Grade aide, and have been teaching 4th Grade here at Holy Family for two years.

This year I have implemented the Dimensions Next Generation Science program. My 4th Graders are not only able to study the Scientific Method in conjunction with Energy, Earth and Human Activity, and Earth’s Systems, but they are also able to observe and perform real-life, hands-on activities based on engineering and technology. They predict, observe, and work as real scientists. What an awesome opportunity!

Although my life revolves around teaching, I enjoy decorating, antiquing, being a beach bum, and hanging out with my daughter. I am also a huge sports fan. I love college football and the Dolphins. My latest obsession is the NBA and the Champion Golden State Warriors. Go DubNation!

My favorite inspirational phrase is”…be shrewd as serpents and as simple as doves.” Matthew 10:16
