Mr. Gene Altman
Hello my name is Gene Altman and I just received my bachelors in Secondary Education with a focus on History at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. I previously graduated from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa back in 2010 with a bachelors in History. I am looking forward to be able to teach. I am ready for a rewarding career shaping the young minds of our next generation.
I believe a huge component in the classroom is respect. If you gain the respect of your students they will respect you. This means you as a educator getting to know your students is crucial . When you gain their respect in the classroom it makes teaching a lot easier. Classroom management will be less of an issue therefore allowing you to focus more on your lesson and figuring out what strategies you would like to use. My overall goal is to gain the respect of my students. So I can relate to them and pass on the knowledge they need to succeed not just in the classroom, but in life.
Personal Goals for Student Teaching
Learn how to use different strategies proficiently
Improve my classroom management skills
Gain the respect of my students
Become a positive role model for my students
Become the greatest teacher this world as every seen
