Mrs. Danielle Robinson
B.S. in Elementary and Early Childhood Education (PK-6th) from The University of West Alabama
My first year in 3rd grade at Holy Family is also my first official year of teaching and I love every minute of it! During the 2015-2016 school year I worked for Decatur City Schools for yearlong permanent substitute position in 4th grade.
My emphasis in teaching is cross-curricular teaching; where I try to connect all subjects and not just teach individual subjects. In my classroom I believe students learn best through doing hands on activities and project based learning. I do utilize centers often in my classroom and teach primarily through small groups. I am currently trained in AMSTI (Alabama Math Science Technology Initiative) which is a hands on science and math program we utilize at Holy Family. I am recently trained in Corrective Reading, a researched based intervention program, to provide additional support to students.
Favorite quote: “Tell me and I forget, Show me and I remember, Involve me and I learn!”
Favorite Bible Verse: “Clothe yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Colossians 3:12”
